Dr. Karissa Schneider
Dr. Karissa Schneider was born and raised in Albany, OR, and she is a second-generation dentist! She graduated as valedictorian from West Albany High School in 2016. She then went on to attend Oregon State University, where she earned an honors degree in biohealth sciences with a chemistry minor in 2020. She studied water fluoridation for two years for her thesis, “The Dental Fluoridation Potential of Drinking Water,” which was published in the highly renowned dental journal, Compendium of Continuing Dental Education.
After working at Pinnacle Dental Associates throughout high school and college, she decided to follow in her father’s footsteps and pursue dentistry as her career. She completed her dental school education at OHSU, graduating in 2024, which included a two-month dental externship. She is now in the process of completing an advanced continuing education program through the Kois Center, and she has completed over 170 hours of continuing education since graduating dental school. Karissa is passionate about staying up-to-date on the latest dental technology, techniques, and research to be able to best serve her patients.
She and her husband, Saul (a Salem native), were married in June 2024 and both now live in the area. In their free time, they enjoy golfing, hiking, reading, skiing, and spending time with friends and family. They also adopted their kitty, Momo, from the local animal shelter last year–he provides them with endless joy and entertainment. Karissa loves being a part of the Pinnacle family, staying at the forefront of dental advancements, and helping her patients achieve their oral health goals.
